BAND TOGETHER was coined by Robert Wright and Jennifer Savage, a local artistic couple. Bobby help Augie with promotions such as catchy ideas and artwork.
"Band Together was basically the idea of bringing all local musicians to one place in order to network and get a better idea of whose doing what." Augie explains, "Lancaster is often referred to as a mid sized town with a small town mentality. We don't have many of the artistic outlets most other towns have. So I wanted to create one."Band Together was a success. It was no woodstock, but Augie was able to pull in cover bands, punk bands, jazz bands, acoustic performers, recording studios, record stores and repair shops (to name a few) into one room at one time. Everyone who wanted to got a chance to play 10 minutes. |
